Our school, 2nd General Lyceum of Thermi – “Ioannis Ioannou”, is located in Thermi, an eastern suburb of Thessaloniki, near the airport and is attended by pupils, mainly from N. Redestos and Triadi. The rented building, which houses the school, has 9 classrooms, a screening room, a library room, a computer lab, a collaboration room, a science room, an art room, a small indoor gym and a school canteen. There is a basketball court and a tennis court in the courtyard. During breaks music is heard in the spacious indoor corridors while students meet, interact and socialize.
Our school conducts many school activities each year, mainly on creative writing, photography, environmental education etc. It also frequently participates in activities such as MUNs (in Greek and English), educational trips etc., and also takes part in competitions in courses such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, etc.
The teaching staff is willing and open to collaborations and projects and supports students’ interests.
